Welcome to Saint Irenaeus!

We're so happy you're here. We'd like to thank you for checking out our church which has been part of the Cypress community since 1961 - a time when there were more cows than Catholics! We’re an active Catholic community striving daily to strengthen our relationship with God, embrace His message, and answer His call to serve and love one another. If you've been looking for a way to nurture your faith, reconnect, get involved, or simply for a place to pray, we welcome you with open arms!

Curious about what sets Saint Irenaeus apart from other churches? It is the people, like you, who turn our congregation into a friendly, extended, family. We hear it time and time again, "Saint Irenaeus feels like home." It is a great place to pray, worship, socialize, revitalize your faith, and volunteer.

If you are feeling a little tentative about attending Mass after being away, our Adult Faith Formation (AFF) is here for you! Send an email or call our Parish Office and we will arrange for someone from AFF to accompany you.

Becoming Catholic

Wondering if there really is something to this Jesus story?

Many people are searching for more: more meaning, more love, more hope. We'd like to help you find it.

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), welcomes and initiates those who choose to become Catholic by providing Catholic Christian formation. OCIA is for adults who have never been baptized, for adults who have been baptized in another Christian faith and now want to be Catholic, and for adults who have been baptized Catholic but are needing two or more sacraments
