Volunteering at Bible Camp 2025

The following volunteer opportunities are available simply by filling out the volunteer form (see link above) and indicating your assignment preference. If you have any questions, email us at youthformation@sticypress.org

  • Crew Leader
You get to enjoy Bible Camp along with the kids. You will be assigned 5-7 kids who will be your "crew". You take them to each of the stations (snacks, games, crafts, etc.) and enjoy the activities with them. You need to enjoy being with the kids and have a great attitude about getting involved. Let your inner kid come alive!
  • TK/Kindergarten Crew Leader
Similar to the crew leader, you get to enjoy Bible Camp along with the TK/Kinder kids. You will be assigned a small crew (4-5) of children. You help them in all of their activities. You need to enjoy being with the Kindergarteners and have a great attitude about getting involved. Kindergarteners enjoy their own age appropriate activities separate from the rest of camp for most of the day.
  • Assistant Crew Leader
Support the crew leader (same job description and attitude!). Only for elementary level (not preschool).
  • Station Assistant
Work at one of the stations helping the leader as needed. This can include setting up the activity, handing out items, crowd control, clean up, etc. Great choice for someone who has a specific interest. Stations include the following:
    • Sticky Scripture (formerly known as Kid Vid) – Kids will connect to each day’s Bible Verse with their bodies, their heads, and their hearts. Kids move, laugh, and play as they explore what each Bible verse means to their lives in practical, applicable ways.
    • Games - Out on the field fun games and cooperative "competitions". Kids run, jump and even splash. Great for someone who is active, loves being outside (even in the middle of July!) and doesn't mind getting a little wet!
    • Bible Discovery - Bible Stories come alive in this station (great choice for anyone who likes to act).
    • Imagination Station (Crafts) - Kids make and create in this station. Great choice for someone who loves crafts.
    • Snacks - Snacks are prepared by one group of kids in the morning and eaten by all mid-way through the morning. Helpers help prepare snacks, get them set out at snack time and clean up afterwards.
  • Floater
Ready at a moment's notice to fill in wherever he's needed: as a crew leader, in a station, a "gopher", sorting, cleaning, etc. It could be anything. Great choice for someone who can only commit to a couple of days of camp.

  • Spotlight slideshow and Photographer
During camp, take pictures for two purposes. The first purpose is for a daily show called "Spotlight Drama". There is a book that lists what photos to take (for example: kids with a "thumbs up") and then insert these photos into a provided power point slide show to present at the end of the day. The second purpose is to take lots of photos and video of all the different stations and activities to put together for a video of the week (about 20 mins in length).

All volunteers may be asked to attend a volunteer meeting.
