Catholic Charities Auxiliary

Chapter II

The mission of Catholic Charities Auxiliary Chapter II is to assist Catholic Charities of Orange County in their quest to help those in need and to encourage others to do the same. The Auxiliary focuses on fundraising efforts to achieve their mission.

Cursillo

Give yourself and your family the gift of Cursillo! Designed to nurture your relationship with the Lord, these three day retreats are from Thursday evening until Sunday evening and are held in Riverside County.

Divine Mercy Devotion

Members pray the Chaplet each Wednesday after the Perpetual Help Mass, work to promote awareness and devotion to our Lord's Divine Mercy, and pray the Divine Mercy Novena from Good Friday until Divine Mercy Sunday each day at 3:00 p.m.

Faithful Families Ministry




Faithful Families Ministry seeks to foster a multigenerational engagement of the faith by hosting Faithful Family activities. These fun events are wonderful opportunities for parish families to spend time with one another on our campus thus allowing the church to be more than just a place of worship but a community center as well.


Faithful Families Ministry also helps host our twice monthly Family Mass.

Fiesta

The parish Fiesta is our biggest social event of the year. Rides, games, food and music are enjoyed by parishioners and people from the surrounding communities. Don't miss this wonderful Saint Irenaeus tradition!





Filipino Catholic Federation


The Filipino Catholic Federation is committed to preserving and sharing their rich Filipino culture as well as their religious values and traditions. Everyone is welcome to join in one or all of the wide variety of activities supported by the FCF!

Junior Legion of Mary


The Junior Legion of Mary, for ages 8 - 14, focuses on giving glory to God and on preparing to enter the Senior Legion of Mary.

Knights of Columbus


The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families, and young people. We are people of faith and people of action. Some of the many charitable, spiritual, and service activities our local Knights perform include blood drives, H.O.P.E. food bagging, praying the rosary, pancake breakfasts, charity golf tournaments, Special Olympics, support for disabled persons, support for Cub Scouts and Scouts USA, and many social events.


Membership to the Knights is open to Catholic men ages 18 and older.

Lay Apostles Prayer Group

Meets every first Thursday of the month to pray the rosary after the 8:30 a.m. Mass.

Legion of Mary

Members strive to grow in personal holiness, to follow the spirituality of Saint Louis de Montfort, to evangelize others, and to spread the Good News of Jesus. They do "Mary's Work" throughout the parish community; examples include teaching SRE and OCIA, visiting the sick, calling on inactive Catholics, and greeting new parishioners.

Mother of Perpetual Help Novena

A novena in honor of Our Mother of Perpetual Help is prayed every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. followed by Mass. The Mass is celebrated every fourth Wednesday of the month in Tagalog. Please join us!


In addition, all are welcome to pray the rosary every Tuesday in the Crying Room after the 8:30 a.m. Mass.

New Horizons

This support group meets quarterly and is for single, separated, divorced, or widowed individuals ages 50+. In addition, various social activities are planned throughout the year.

Oktoberfest

Join fellow parishioners, neighbors and friends for an evening of lively music, delicious German style dinner, a wide variety of beverages, and fun games. Held each Fall, Oktoberfest is one of Saint Irenaeus' most entertaining social events!

Pew Ministry

Respect Life Ministry


Throughout the year members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of pro-life activities including 40 Days for Life campaigns, praying in front of Planned Parenthood, fundraising, the Lenten Diaper Drive, the October Baby Gift Collection, and attending funerals for abandoned babies at El Toro Memorial Park .
